What is the NDIS?

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is a government program designed to support people with disabilities and their families. It provides funding for necessary supports and services to help individuals achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. We understand that navigating the NDIS can be challenging, but we are here to help!

Accessing NDIS Funding

Accessing NDIS funding requires demonstrating impaired daily functioning, indicating a need for specialised support to maintain independence and self-care. This proof of disability can be provided by medical professionals like paediatricians, psychiatrists, or clinical psychologists, who assess and validate the individual’s challenges.

At our clinic, our team of experienced psychologists is dedicated to assisting families in navigating the NDIS access process. Contact us today to discover how we can support your loved one in accessing the funding they require.

EXISTING NDIS PARTICIPANTS

Using NDIS Funding for Assessments

Some participants may have specific funding for assessments included in their plan. However, if a diagnostic assessment becomes necessary during treatment, you can submit a change of circumstances form with your NDIS Local Area Coordinator.

It is recommended to get a letter from a health professional to support this claim. This letter can be obtained from a health professional currently assisting the participant or one of our experienced psychologists after the intake assessment session.

FUNDING REVIEWS OR SUPPORTING APPEALS

Diagnostic assessments can be used to provide additional information and data from standardised assessments to support NDIS funding reviews and appeals.

We cannot guarantee any outcomes but will work hard to explore and document the aspects of your child’s functioning and needs.

Accessing Additional Information

Your Local Area Coordinator will be your main point of contact to get additional information and will be aware of your unique situation.
